Contact me on my cell phone, this is important. i need updated information on all members since my harddrive crashed and i need phone numbers, addresses, full names, and emails. No one from the church team has contacted me YET !

All D.A.T. (Disaster Action Team) members will try to complete the "FEMA Emergency Management Institute" courses. These are required for continued training. The following are listed;
* IS-700a National Incident Management System (NIMS) an introduction.
* IS-100a (ICS 100) Introduction to Incident Command System, I-100.
* IS-200 (ICS 200) ICS for Single Resources and Initial Action Incidents.
* IS-800.b National Response Framework, an Introduction.
**A course number that has a letter after the number is a newer version of the course ***
To signup, go to this web page, http/training.fema.gov/IS/
If you do not complete each course in one sitting , you will have to start it all over again. so do not fool around while taking this, you can not save it.
At the end you will fill out personal info for your certif and you may or may not get a certificate in your email, or it may come by mail in a week. when you get your certif, forward me a copy or make a copy for your training files. If your training file does not have a copy, you never had the training !

Redcross will be conducting a MASSCARE class all day on 24 April 2010, from 0900 - 1700 hrs, will cover Shelter Operations, Mass Care overview, Shelter Simulation. This is the first step in becoming a Volunteer and be able to assist in a shelter and to be certified to work in a shelter. Bring your own lunch or be able to go to one of the fast food places down the road. coffee and hot tea will be available.

Classes will be scheduled in the near future with Redcross for disaster courses. the classes will be held on Saturdays only. Times and dates will be posted in the calendar when issued to us. All classes will be held at the Gaithersburg church of the Nazarene unless otherwise stated.
